InDesign

I found InDesign to be one of the most challenging softwares to learn. Although it took a while to get used to, I'm proud of my final portfolio. I used green grids which I found to be useful when spacing my photos and text out and the green helped to differentiate the lines I was looking at. I'm going to continue to learn how to excel in InDesign to keep improving :)

Letter to my 40 year old self

Here is the letter I used to put toward the making of my Calligram :) Dear Taylor, Has anyone ever told you what you mean to them? The good and the bad. Because right now, at 20 years old in October 2020, you have a lot of conflict on who you are and how much you’re valued in life. I hope you’re healthy and happy, but when you come across harder days, I like to remember the unexpected compliments. “You smile very well with your eyes, you seem genuinely kind and you’re very beautiful” - Woman at Boatyard “No on else in our family has hair like yours, I used to tie ribbons to my hair so it would feel long” - My Mom “You have really nice eyebrows” - Ariel the first time I met her “You have such a cute nose” - Ani in 7th grade “You speak so well, you should really go into sales” -Multiple professors/mentors  “My dog loves you, that’s crazy, they don't act like that with anyone” - Multiple Pet owners “Has anyone told you you’re extremely photogenic” - Ms. G senior year Little things can

ANIMATION

This was my very first attempt at an animation... EVER. It certainly took a while to get the hang of it, but now that I have an idea, I can't wait to get much better at it. The learning part was a little draining but the finished product makes it all worth it. This project was so cool!!

This election was a nail-biter, but we were lucky enough to have the largest voter turnout in American history. We voted for equality, for kindness, and to help save the planet.

Multiplicity

This project was so much fun! Being locked up comes with its pros and cons, but I always have to find a way to keep busy and entertain myself. Just adding a little color to what may seem like a bland day.

I think my fear is growing up and turning out nothing like what I'd ever envisioned.  Growing up comes with a few rude awakenings, but carrying on is about how we adjust, adapt, and overcome.  But it's okay to find comfort in what you enjoyed in your youth.
